Bridges are natural-looking dental appliances that can replace a section of missing teeth. Because they are custom-made, bridges are barely noticeable and can restore the natural contour of teeth as well as the proper bite relationship between upper and lower teeth. One advantage of a  bridge is that they are cemented or bonded in place and cannot be removed by the patient. Special bridge threaders are used to cleanse under rthe middle section of the bridge. Bridges can also be placed over implants to restore multiple teeth.

Porcelain, gold alloys, zirconia or combinations of materials are usually used to make a bridge.
